Anupama Selarka

Educational Psychologist

Students who learnt ‘differently’ inspired Anupama to move away from mainstream teaching to work with children with special needs. She brings with her knowledge of mainstream international curricula and inquiry-based learning methodologies. She attended several training programs and workshops to better equip herself and develop skills to work with children with learning challenges. Anupama facilitates learning with a holistic approach and firmly believes in promoting the overall development of the child with a hands-on approach – helping them learn ‘How to learn’. She uses the methods by which they learn best and adapts the learning tasks to the child’s ability and strengths.

As an educational therapist, she is able to effectively engage children to learn in a way which is interesting and motivating for them and helps them to develop social skills, by teaching children essential life skills and helping them grow in their self-esteem and confidence. She is experienced in crafting personalised learning programs which help children work towards their optimal potential.

In the past few years, Anupama has worked with children with cognitive difficulties, learning problems and disorders, and behaviour problems and disorders. Anupama provides small group and individual academic support, creating lessons that target a variety of skills for children with special needs.
