Nurul Azhar’s dream to be a special education teacher is evident in the passion and patience she places in nurturing the children with learning differences under her care.

Having been in the early intervention sector for close to 10 years, Nurul believes that each child has their own uniqueness and strengths and should be given an opportunity to develop their potential. Seeing them achieve their milestones gives her an immense sense of satisfaction and joy.

Nurul hopes to play her part in inclusive education so that each child is given equal care and support to blossom and realise their individual achievements.

Clinical & Specialisation

Nurul’s areas of clinical specialisation and training include:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Attention Deficit and Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)

  • Global developmental Delay (GDD)

  • Down’s Syndrome (DS)

Training & Qualifications

Nurul has been trained in the following:
  • Assessment, Evaluation and Programme Systems (AEPS)

  • Structured teaching

  • Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)

  • Learning Disorders Management

  • Speech and Language Development

  • Counselling

  • Child Psychology

  • Special needs support for children and young adults with special needs

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Disorder Management and Child Psychology, College of Allied Educator

  • WSQ Special Education Units in Special Needs, Asian International College
