Sephine Goh 

Senior Speech Therapist

Sephine attained her Bachelor in Speech and Language Pathology with First Class Honours (Class I) from the University of Queensland, Australia and has been working as a Speech Therapist for 9 years. She is fully registered under the Allied Health Professions Council. 

 

Since 2015, Sephine has had opportunities to work in both the community and private setting, practising clinically in a therapy hub, early intervention centres, DS-LS programs and inclusive programs in preschools, and school-aged special schools. She has also worked with school aged children with hearing and visual impairments. Sephine then moved on to a charity centre where she took on new roles to assist in establishing new services, such as group therapy, joint discipline therapy, and early intervention programmes. Sephine has also conducted numerous workshops for teachers, fellow allied health professionals, as well as parents whose children were under her care.  

 

Her experience in paediatrics includes work in the areas of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), literacy, feeding, social communication, speech, and language disorders. 

 

Sephine is trained in Hanen - More than words ®, Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT), Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding, 3-part Oral Placement Therapy (OPT), Natural Language Acquisition Framework, Picture Exchange Communication System® (PECs®) - Level 1, and Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) - Level 1.  

 

In Australia, Sephine has gained experience working in acute hospitals and rehabilitative centres with adults with speech and language delays, as well as those with swallow impairments.  

 

Sephine is proficient in English, Mandarin, and simple Teochew. She is able to provide assessment and interventions in both English and Mandarin, in addition to teacher, caregiver, and parent training. She strongly believes in a collaborative approach with the clients and/or their caregivers, and their educational team to achieve the best possible outcomes.
