Shan
Early Intervention Teacher
Shan graduated with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (International) Distinction from Deakin University. She also has a Diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education and did a specialisation track on children with special needs. Shan has many years of experience working in EIPIC centres and in MindChamps preschool as a teacher.

Over the years, Shan has worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay, hearing impairment, as well as other developmental disabilities. She has also worked with co-teachers and therapists in preschools to help children with special needs integrate into a classroom setting.
​
With her certifications in Autism and Dyslexia and Literacy Teaching, Shan has incorporated various strategies into her classroom sessions to allow children to achieve their developmental milestones.
Shan believes in working closely together with the child’s family and caregivers and focus on key goals that enable the child to function in the home, classroom and community setting. She believes in fostering a positive relationship between the teacher and family, to achieve the best possible outcome for the child and family.
