Er Xin Mei

Xin Mei attained her BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, and has been working as an Occupational Therapist for 10 years. She is fully registered under the Allied Health Professions Council.

Since 2015, Xin Mei has had opportunities to work in various early intervention centres and school setting, where her role includes conducting assessment and intervention (group/ individual) with children on their sensory processing, gross motor, fine motor, prewriting/ handwriting, self-care skills and emotional regulation. She consistently works with other professionals such as teachers, therapists, social workers and parents to plan and review ongoing treatment and intervention for children under her care.

Xin Mei has also conducted numerous workshops for teachers, fellow allied health professionals and parents.

Xin Mei is trained in DIR Floortime 101, Therapeutic Listening: Listening with the Whole Body, M.O.R.E Integrating the mouth with Sensory and Postural Functions, Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance and Ayres Sensory Integration.

Xin Mei is proficient in English and Mandarin. She can provide assessment and interventions in both English and Mandarin, in addition to teacher, caregiver, and parent training. She strongly believes in a collaborative approach with the clients and/or their caregivers, and their educational team to achieve the best possible outcomes.
