Merissa Ang
Educational Psychologist

Merissa Ang is a registered educational psychologist with over 15 years of experience working across Singapore and New Zealand. Her practice is rooted in a deep respect for human diversity, a strong commitment to evidence-based approaches, and the belief that meaningful support must honor the individual — not just the diagnosis.
Merissa has worked with individuals across the lifespan, with a particular focus on those with autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and complex behavioral needs. Her professional experience spans a broad range of settings, including preschools, special education schools, private clinics, vocational training programmes, residential care homes, and community-based services.
She has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent individuals with learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Her work includes designing and implementing strengths-based, sustainable strategies for managing complex behaviors, and incorporating structured intervention methods such as visual supports, task analysis, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, and discrete trial teaching. Merissa also provides individual and group-based social skills training, conducts school observations, and offers inclusive, collaborative consultations.
Her services extend across clinic-based, home-based, and school-integrated settings. She conducts diagnostic assessments, school placement evaluations, and facilitates vocational preparation and workplace adjustment for neurodivergent adults. In addition, she delivers caregiver training, professional development workshops, and provides supervision and mentoring for professionals in education, psychology, and disability services. Merissa is a strong advocate for multidisciplinary collaboration and has worked closely with occupational therapists, speech-language therapists, psychiatrists, educators, and other allied professionals.
