Yvonne Kuan

Yvonne graduated with a Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from National University of Singapore in 2014. She is also a recipient of the Social Service Award by National Council of Social Service.

Yvonne has dedicated her clinical career to helping individuals overcome communication and swallowing challenges, with a strong passion for incorporating oral motor and myofunctional principles -particularly for children with unclear speech, apraxia of speech, or feeding and swallowing difficulties. Her professional experience spans a wide range of settings, including preschools, special education schools, mainstream schools, private therapy centres, and dental clinics. As such, she has had the privilege of working with both children and adults with a variety of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay, ADHD, Dyslexia, fluency disorders, voice disorders, and many more.

Yvonne brings a wealth of specialized training to her practice, holding certifications in a variety of evidence-based intervention approaches. Committed to continuous professional growth, she makes it a priority to update her skills regularly by attending training courses each year. In addition to her clinical work, Yvonne has served as a clinical supervisor for university students and has mentored newly qualified speech therapists as they work towards full clinical certification.

Known for her warm and empathetic approach, Yvonne builds strong, collaborative relationships with clients and families across all age groups-from toddlers to older adults. She is deeply committed to supporting each individual's journey with communication and feeding challenges, always respecting their pace and unique strengths. Yvonne believes it is her mission as a therapist to help every client reach their fullest potential with compassion, clinical skill, and above all, love.
